Single Stage

• Primarily used until 1991
• Dries hard & shiny
• Scratches are harder to remove

Base Coat / Clear Coat (98% of the cars)

• Primarily used from 1991 to present
• Characterized by a deep shine
• Scratches are easier to tone down/reduce.

Paint Correction:

Not all the vehicles can be paint corrected or need paint correction. We only recommend paint correction on vehicles that have swirls, wash marks, oxidation, light to medium scratches, environmental fallout and buildup on the paint system. We offer free consultation and estimate on all services. If the paint system is leveled out and vehicle already has a deep gloss and high reflection and is in new condition ceramic coating would be sufficient.

Swirls

• Swirls – Are caused by a rotary machine (High speed, metal grinder)
• Rotary machines created revolutions per minute (RPM)
• The revolutions on the rotary machine creates friction and causes the clear coat to get extremely hot
• Rotary machines can create heat at about 235-262 degrees Fahrenheit
• Clear coat starts to fail at about 255-269 degrees Fahrenheit

Wash Marks

• Wash marks – are caused by normal washing
• Typically wash marks are caused by not drying your vehicle (Properly, paper towel, duster, Etc.)
• Since wash marks are not created by a machine, they’ll be less complicated to reduce
• Some customers call wash marks, “Spider webs”

Below chart shows above surface damage, above / below surface damage, minor / moderate paint damage that can be paint corrected. Unfortunately irreversible paint damage that has gone through clear coat, possible paint / primer or even substrate cannot be paint corrected and the vehicle needs to be painted or possibly have body work done.

The science of scratch reduction and paint correction:

As a part of paint correction on different paint systems F1 Auto Detailing & Ceramic Coating use different pad density, compound and polish combination based on vehicles that are high maintenance (Blacks, reds, blues, greens, etc.), low maintenance colors (Champaign, whites, silvers, etc.) in 18” x 18” sections to remove fallout, oxidation, and reduce scratches and to level out the paint system to bring out deep gloss and higher reflection. The science of scratch reduction and paint correction revolves around: Flat surface = Reflection = Shine.

NOTE: The white pad is a finishing pad that can be paired with fine polish if needed, or wax (lasts 3-6 months) or sealant (lasts 9-12 months). 1 – Compounds: Reduces heavy scratches & oxidation (Dirt, grime)

Comprised of:

• Water (To maintain liquidity form)
• Solvents (To remove the oxidation that gets absorbed in to paint system)
• Oils (To lubricate and keep pads cool while polishing the paint system)
• Abrasives (Small microscopic oval shape particles used to reduce and tone down scratches)
• Surfactants (To slowdown chemical reactions)
• Thickeners (To maintain the product on the pad)
  NOTE: Our Compounds are “True Cut” meaning they get activated by friction.

2 – Polishes: Reduces light scratches, oxidation but mostly add shine

• Water (To maintain liquidity form)
• Solvents (To remove the oxidation that gets absorbed in to paint system)
• Oils (To lubricate and keep pads cool while polishing the paint system)
• Light abrasives (Small microscopic round shape particles used to lightly massage and reduce and tone down
• scratches, and specially bring shine to paint system)
• Surfactants (To slowdown chemical reactions)
• Thickeners (To maintain the product on the pad)
• Emulsifiers (To bond all chemical to bring shine)
  NOTE: Our Polishes are “True Cut” meaning they get activated by friction.

UNIQUE TECHNICS DONE BY F1 AUTO DETAILING BEFORE AND AFTER CERAMIC COATING

Before any ceramic coating preformed with or without any paint correction services done on the vehicle “Prep” is used to remove any surface contaminants as the first step to performing any ceramic coating. “Revive” is used as the last step after ceramic coating and it enhances the finish and increases the live of your nano ceramic coating. Revive leaves the paint, glass and trim surfaces glossy and smooth while enhancing the hydrophobicity of your ceramic coating for 3-6 months.

3 – 9H Nano Ceramic Coating: Extreme protection to painted surfaces lasting up to 9 years

Purpose: To protect a vehicle from weather, UV rays, bird droppings, acid rain, road grime, light scuffs, scratches/abrasions, heat up to 1,800 centigrade, environmental stains, and elements, while repelling water, dirt, & other contaminates. Comprised of:

• Water (To maintain liquidity form)
• Nano Crystalline (Microscopic liquid turns to solid)
• Resins (Adhesive/Glue activated by UV light)
• Silica (Si) (Catalyst/Hardener to speed up the drying process)
• Oxygen atoms (Allows flexibility so ceramic coating doesn’t break or crack)
• 3D polymeric framework (Cures/Dry up not flat and adds 2 to 3 microns to the paint system).
